New appointment at Total Recycling Services to ensure continued growth

Lewis Southall, has joined the team as an Area Sales Manager after a successful career within the industrial services sector.

Total Recycling Services is based in Darlington and uses its skills and expertise in hazardous waste removals for clients such as JCB, Akzo Nobel, Nissan and Caterpillar.

Lewis, who previously worked with World Services Group and CIS Northern, said: “When I first came to Total Recycling Services I was immediately impressed with the company. It's innovative and has invested well in future growth.

“My main focus will be on the industrial services side of Total Recycling Services, which has already seen large growth in the last 18 months. I’ll also be looking to bring in more waste contracts."

He continued: “Before working with WSG and CIS, I had over three years of on-the-job experience as an industrial services operator, which gives me a great insight into all aspects of the job.”

After leaving school, Lewis undertook a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering with the hopes of getting an apprenticeship. He said: “It wasn’t until a role came up with CIS that I moved into industrial services.

“Towards the end of 2015 the SSI steel works closed, a lot of jobs were lost, and the director of the company was looking to reorganise which allowed me the opportunity to move up the ranks into sales engineering.

Sue Woodward, Commercial Director at Total, said: “Lewis brings with him a great commitment and pride to his role, with a genuine consultative approach to sales.

“He has an extremely professional approach to customers and great account management skills which we’re enthusiastic to utilise.

“He has some excellent contacts within the industry, and I believe he will deliver a high level of sales in industrial services and waste management and will be a great addition to the team at Total Recycling Services and will ensure we meet our ambitious targets.'

Lewis concluded: “Working within a company like this comes naturally to me. Part of industrial services is the removal of the waste collected and everything that comes along with that.

“I’m looking forward to get started working with new and existing customers at Total and building on my successes.”
