Recruitment industry and contractor workforce management company ADVANCE has appointed Shaun Critchley to its board of directors.
Critchley, founder of niche recruitment law practice CRS Solicitors, will take a lead role on development projects and technical matters.
Chester-based ADVANCE has looked after several thousand contractors, freelancers and temporary workers since its launch in 2010.
It is the only provider to have passed Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) audits for umbrella, self-employment and limited company accountancy services.
“I’m delighted Shaun has agreed to join our board; his expertise and experience will be crucial as we enter the next stage of our growth plan”, said ADVANCE managing director Tim Hunt.
“We pride ourselves on the world-class expertise we provide and wanted to focus on bringing more of that unique knowledge in house.
“This appointment will give ADVANCE the ability to look at further investment opportunities and move into new areas and market sectors. It also shows we are leading the sector in facing head on the challenges presented by forthcoming legislative changes.
“Shaun has advised many top 100 recruitment firms on the legal, regulatory and tax issues linked to the contracting sector. His expertise in compliance and risk management means he is the perfect fit.”
Critchley added: “I was attracted to ADVANCE as the company’s core values match my own. It is a young, innovative and practical company that is setting new standards for the industry, with great potential for the future.”
