New Appointment Boosts Architectural Practice

Preston and Chester-based architectural and planning consultancy practice, Cassidy + Ashton, has appointed a new architectural assistant to cope with demand.
Having recorded its busiest six months in a number of years, the firm, which also has an office in Chester, has recruited Chris Homer, 33, from Barton.
With 10 years’ experience in practices across the North West, Chris, who achieved a Part 1 qualification from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) at Liverpool John Moores University in 2006, is currently studying towards RIBA part 2 and is experienced in designing and masterplanning large scale housing schemes.
“Cassidy + Ashton has a strong reputation and vast experience across a number of sectors and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects was a big draw for me,” explains Chris.
“In addition to being strong in the education sector, the practice has worked on many commercial projects across the UK and I’m looking forward to utilising my existing skills to assist the technicians and architects from design through to delivery.”
Alistair Baines, chairman at Cassidy + Ashton, added: “Chris is a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a lot of transferable skills that the practice can benefit from and we’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”
