Forward Role Recruitment, a leading digital marketing recruitment agency based in the North West, has made three key hires, as the company braces itself for a surge in the number of digital jobs being created across the region.
Senior Digital Consultant, Dominic Scales, will be joined by Marketing Manager, Alison Hart, and Adam Miller, a Junior Digital Consultant. The experience and expertise offered by the new team members will further cement Forward Role’s status as one of the leading specialist digital marketing recruiters in the area, and will stand the firm in good stead ahead of the predicted jobs boom in the coming years.
George Osborne recently stated that the North had experienced greater employment growth than the South in the last year, while at the same time outlining his vision of creating a “Northern Powerhouse”, which will see cities like Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield become increasingly influential technology hubs.
Manchester is arguably leading the way in the digital revolution, as the BBC’s move to MediaCityUK created a multitude of new roles within the digital and tech sector, and also raised the overall profile of the North West in the process. With further plans to create a high-speed rail network (HS2) on the horizon, which will slash journey times between major English cities, it seems that the gap between the North West and London is closing rapidly.
Dominic comes from a varied background of events marketing and sports account management, with impressive clients such as Nike and NHS sales under his belt, as well as gaining seven years of recruitment experience working for the likes of Reed, Manpower and Fluid.
Alison has worked in a multitude of marketing roles for a host of major brands, including Siemens and Bank of America. She has also worked on a freelance basis to provide vital support for SMEs.
Meanwhile, Adam’s background in digital reputation management will stand him in excellent stead in his new position, allowing him to focus on the high demand for PPC and SEO skill sets.
Steve Thompson, Managing Director of Forward Role, commented on the soaring demand for digital roles: “Digital marketing is a fast growing sector and the demand for high-quality digital talent has really stretched our capacity on that side of the business over the last six months.
“The appointments of Dom and Adam will enable us to maintain the excellent service we provide to our clients and candidates, as well as broadening our reach nationally and internationally.”
Alison is relishing the prospect of joining a well-established agency that continues to help some of the North West’s most high-profile digital businesses to find the very best talent. She remarked: “Recruitment is a new sector for me and I’ve been surprised just how fast paced and dynamic it is. I’m looking forward to working with a brand that’s so well regarded in this space and has such ambitious growth plans.”
Steve explained that it will be Alison’s remit to raise awareness of the Forward Role brand on a much greater scale.
“We’ve reached a point in our growth cycle where we feel that we need additional marketing support to drive the company to the next level. Alison’s role will be to champion our customer internally amongst our sales staff, whilst driving our brand forward externally and increasing our reach across the UK,” he added.
