Leading recruitment specialist, Meridian Business Support, has responded to rising job vacancies in the recruitment sector by undertaking an independent client survey to formulate client-specific solutions to sector challenges.
The annual client satisfaction survey was an initiative introduced by the company’s board in 2014 to provide a benchmark from which Meridian could measure its ability to overcome key industry challenges in partnership with existing clients, successfully responding to issues such as skills shortages in the UK.
As a result of the client survey, Meridian has established an ongoing customer service training programme for all employees. This training scheme ensures that the company takes a consistent approach to improving the customer experience both internally and externally.

The challenges of the current recruitment climate, particularly the candidate-lead nature of the market, were reflected in the priorities of clients. Our aim for the survey is to continue Meridian’s strategic approach to overcoming industry challenges to meet the short- and long-term needs for businesses in the UK.

In a survey of 400 current clients, 93 per cent of clients have stated that they were either highly satisfied or satisfied with the service they received from Meridian Business Support, an increase of over 2 per cent on last year’s result of 90.26 per cent.
The results follow a successful year to date for Meridian Business Support, with several contract wins across a range of sectors in permanent and temporary recruitment.
Meridian is one of the largest privately-owned recruitment specialists in the UK, with 67 branch operations, turnover of £120 million and 350 staff. In 2014 the firm celebrated its 25th anniversary and has been awarded accreditation by Best Companies for providing a great place to work.
