Richard Williams has joined specialist recruitment company, Cast UK, as a senior consultant within its Manchester head office.
Richard will work with Cast UK’s FTSE 500 client base to recruit experienced purchasing and supply chain roles within FMCG, pharmaceuticals and chemicals across the South East.
With a strong industry track record in forecasting, purchasing, analysis and people management, Richard’s career history includes senior roles at Kraft Heinz, The Co-operative and Dunbia.
His extensive knowledge of evolving global supply chains and the impact of emerging technology, coupled with managing large, diverse teams, ensures he is well placed to understand client business challenges as well as resourcing models to underpin growth.
Richard’s experience of working with Cast UK is from the perspective of both a candidate and client within the context of FMCG and global engineering sectors. Over the past six years he has had a consistently positive experience with the team at Cast UK, who he feels fully understand the markets in which they operate.
Commenting on his appointment, Richard said: “Career decisions for candidates are equally as pivotal as resourcing decisions for businesses, so choosing a recruiter is not something to be taken lightly. I’ve always been really impressed by Cast UK as they live and breathe their specialist sectors and combine knowledge and insight with a real passion for building rewarding relationships.”
Wayne Brophy, managing director of Cast UK, added: “Richard joins us with a breadth of industry experience which ensures he fully appreciates the changing dynamics of our markets and the skills challenges they face. His expertise, alongside his drive and ambition, means he is a great fit with our team and a key appointment as part of our continued expansion.”
