New research has shown that senior level managers working within the digital sector can earn nearly twice as much as their non-digital counterparts.
The findings exposed a staggering £30,000 difference in salaries between people working in senior management positions in the digital industry compared to individuals with the same level of expertise in non-digital industries.
The research also revealed that employees in the digital community earn nearly twice as much per annum, with the average salary of £66,944, dwarfing the average of £37,813 for a non-digital worker.
Digital marketing recruitment specialists, The Candidate, undertook the research to discover the career path of today’s top achievers in digital and how this differs to those in non-digital sectors.
The research was carried out by comparing the careers of 150 digital senior management professionals to 150 non-digital individuals at the same level. The samples include some of the highest achievers in the digital and non-digital industries.
The study highlights how the fast growth of the digital sector, coupled with the shortage of skilled professionals to fill an increasing number of jobs, has seen more employers prepared to pay above average salaries in order to recruit and retain the best talent.
